Money Cart Bonus Symbols: The A–Z Glossary

Every Money Train slot builds its bonus round from the same idea — a hold-and-win grid, a set number of respins, and special symbols that pay, collect or reset the counter — but the cast has grown with each release, and four names below (Bomber, Pyromancer, Ticket Master, Permanent Payer) come only from the pre-release Money Train 5 build. This page explains how the Money Cart bonus works in general, then lists every special symbol used across the six games, A to Z, drawn only from what each game’s own material says it does.

How the Money Cart bonus works, in general

Land enough of the trigger symbol — usually three or more scatters, or a bonus symbol in some games — and the reels lock into a small grid, each position blank or carrying a special symbol. Details vary by game:

  • Money Train (2019): 20 positions, three respins; a new symbol resets the count; Widener opens an extra reel.
  • Money Train 2: 3+ scatters trigger three respins; a filled reel opens another, up to two extras; a full 7×4 grid adds 500x.
  • Money Train 3: 3+ bonus symbols trigger the feature; a filled column opens another, up to twice.
  • Money Train 4: 3+ scatters trigger three respins; a filled row adds another, up to four times.
  • Money Train Origins Dream Drop: 3+ bonus symbols trigger three respins; filling all 28 positions pays a flat 1,000x on top.
  • Money Train 5 (pre-release build): 3+ bonus symbols trigger a free spins round where a train moves through stations 0–20, unlocking a new mechanic at each stop.

Full-grid completions like these sit at the rare end of a session — treat them as ceilings, not typical outcomes.

Why “persistent” matters

Most symbols below have a persistent counterpart, worth understanding before the table makes sense. An ordinary special symbol only counts for the respin it lands on and whichever follow before the counter runs out. A persistent version stays on the grid instead — it survives a reset and keeps paying, collecting or doubling for the rest of the feature. Landing one early is usually the moment a small bonus round turns into a large one.

Two notes on reading this table: “no description given” is the honest limit of the public material, not a guess dressed up as fact. And a name repeated in “appears in” doesn’t guarantee an identical effect — Necromancer’s revival count, for one, differs between Money Train 2 and Money Train 3, and both figures are given rather than merged into one.

FAQ

What is the Money Cart bonus?

It’s the hold-and-win feature at the centre of every Money Train game: a small grid locks in place with a limited number of respins, and special symbols pay, collect or reset the counter until the respins run out or the grid fills.

What does “persistent” mean next to a symbol’s name?

It means that version stays on the grid for the rest of the bonus round instead of clearing when the respin counter resets — see “Why persistent matters” above.

Which symbols exist in only one game?

Golden Bonus is unique to Money Train 2; Tommy Gun Payer and Tommy Gun Sniper to Money Train 3; Banker and Healer to Money Train Origins Dream Drop; and Ticket Master, Bomber, Pyromancer and Permanent Payer so far only to the Money Train 5 pre-release build.

Do Banker and Healer actually do anything specific?

The public material confirms both were added in Money Train Origins Dream Drop but doesn’t describe their mechanic, so this page doesn’t guess at one. The Origins review will be updated if that changes.

Is the symbol list the same in the demo as in the real-money game?

Yes. A demo runs the same maths model as the real-money version, symbols included — play money only, no real winnings — which is why it’s the recommended way to see a symbol like Sniper or Necromancer land before staking anything.
